THE WORK

Chaotic plastic, broken ecology

A large-scale, symbolic and provocative environmental light installation built for the main festival circuit of Llum BCN 2024. The project addresses the desolation of the climate crisis by exploring how a massive, chaotic entity constructed from industrial plastic waste consumes the surrounding natural environment, warning of a future where ecological balance is entirely broken.

Exposed Infrastructure & Material Refraction

The physical structure was engineered entirely from discarded, repurposed, and rejected industrial plastics. Rather than hiding the raw waste, the layers of material were woven into impossible volumetric forms, functioning as an active research study on light refraction to explore how custom, dynamic electronic light sources split, warp, and transform when passing through varied plastic densities.

Dynamic Environmental Submersion

Installed outdoors at Carrer Emilia Coranty 40 in Poblenou, the sculpture interacted directly with the urban architectural space. Passersby were invited to walk underneath the looming synthetic framework, feeling the tension between a playful luminescent glow and the dystopian reality of the physical plastic consumption.
