OVERVIEW & ROLE
Meteoeconomics is an enterprise-grade financial intelligence platform developed in partnership with GVC Gaesco Institute in Barcelona. Designed to democratize dense macroeconomic indices and market metrics, the platform transforms complex backend infrastructure into highly actionable visual intelligence.
This project represents the intersection of my core strength—high-fidelity motion design—with product strategy, demonstrating how motion architecture can be leveraged to clarify complex data ecosystems.
The Challenge
Financial analysts and B2B users regularly navigate a flood of raw, fragmented macroeconomic data—from Internal Rate of Return (IRR/TIR) variations to shifts in Central Bank balance sheets. GVC Gaesco's core challenge was a product-market alignment issue: how to take high-stakes, multi-layered financial infrastructure and display it without causing severe cognitive fatigue or transactional friction for decision-makers. The existing paradigm lacked clear visual hierarchy, intuitive navigation paths, and functional interaction logic.
From Raw Infrastructure to Intuitive Interface
As the Product Manager, I didn't just skin an interface; I owned the entire product diagnosis and UX lifecycle. My approach balanced rigorous financial requirements with empathetic user-centered design:
Product Diagnosis & Benchmarking: Conducted extensive competitor benchmarking to identify usability gaps in current market tools, mapping out a direct B2B monetization and positioning roadmap.
User Research Frameworks: Engineered qualitative and quantitative user testing strategies to pinpoint exactly where analysts experienced friction when evaluating risk metrics and market trends.
Information Architecture (IA): Restructured the data flow to separate macro-level overviews from granular historical data, establishing a seamless layout hierarchy.
Data Visualization as a Functional Narrative
The final, validated web app MVP completely reframes how enterprise users interact with financial indicators by turning dense data tables into modular, responsive systems:
Actionable Visual Systems: Designed custom interactive dashboards utilizing specialized financial heatmaps, risk indicators, and dynamic stock ratio modules to make abstract numbers instantly readable.
Interaction Logic & Motion Frameworks: Implemented micro-interactions and motion states to anchor the user's focus during complex transition states, preventing spatial disorientation across deep multi-tiered dashboards.
Successfully built and delivered a high-fidelity functional MVP that bridges the historical gap between rigid financial systems and fluid digital product experiences, providing GVC Gaesco with a validated foundation for future enterprise scaling.
